Support and safety
Your journal should support you, not trap you.
You decide what you write, how deeply you go and when reflection is no longer the right tool.
Difficult topics
Step back, skip or stop.
If a topic feels too uncomfortable, write about why it feels difficult instead of forcing the topic itself. If even that is too much, stop and speak with a qualified professional.
Immediate danger
A journaling challenge is not crisis support.
If you may harm yourself or someone else, or you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis service now.
Privacy
Protect what you write.
Use a digital environment you trust, secure your account and device, and avoid sharing identifying or highly sensitive journal content with tools you have not reviewed.
Scope
Educational material, not professional care.
